Reminder: May 3rd Public Hearing on Sewer Rate Ordinance

On May 3, 2021 at 7:00 PM or thereafter, the City Council of the City of Charles Town will hold a public hearing on a sewer rate ordinance for sanitary sewer service provided by the Charles Town Utility Board.  This hearing will be conducted remotely, pursuant to the rules of Council, at Charles Town City Hall, 101 East Washington Street, Charles Town, West Virginia 25414.   

The proposed ordinance, which was introduced to City Council by first reading on April 5, 2021, may be inspected by the public at the Office of the City Clerk at City Hall, the City web site at www.Charlestownwv.us or the CTUB website at www.ctubwv.com.

Any interested person may participate in the public hearing remotely or by submission of written comments, which will be read into the record during the public hearing.  Written comments may be mailed to City Hall or emailed to Daryl Hennessy at dhennessy@charlestownwv.us.  Council will consider written comments received prior to 5:00 PM on May 3, 2021. 

Persons wishing to appear before Council to make live remote comment must enroll with the City Clerk at dhennessy@charlestownwv.us no later than 5:00 pm on May 3, 2021.   

Following this hearing, City Council may finally act upon the proposed ordinance by public motion and vote.
