COMMENT ON THE UPDATE TO THE CHARLES TOWN UTILITY BOARD
SOURCE WATER PROTECTION PLAN

The Charles Town Utility Board (CTUB) will conduct a Public Hearing for the planned update to the CTUB Source Water Protection Plan (SWPP) at 661 SOUTH GEORGE STREET, CHARLES TOWN WV 25414 on APRIL 24, 2024 at 4:00 p.m.  CTUB representatives will be present to discuss changes to the existing SWPP, to answer your questions and receive comments.

The purpose of the Public Hearing is to ensure the public is provided with an opportunity to both review and discuss the changes to the existing SWPP. This Hearing will also provide an opportunity for public questions regarding the changes. The changes involve updates to known Potential Sources of Significant Contamination (PSSCs) to CTUB’s service area and associated updates to the SWPP. The updated SWPP document will be available for review at the public hearing or at the CTUB office located at 661 S. George St., Charles Town, WV 25414.

Deadline to submit comments is Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. The public may provide comments via the following methods:

  • Written or oral comments in person at the Public Hearing (details referenced herein)
  • By mail to CTUB: Ms. Ashley Stottlemyer at the CTUB Office (661 S. George St., Charles Town, WV 25414)
  • By email to Ms. Ashley Stottlemyer at astottlemyer@ctubwv.com (please reference “Source Water Protection Plan” in the subject heading).
